Eastern Delgamian Football Cup

The System

The opponents are randomly selected before each round. The teams play two times and the scores are added together. The team with more goals advances to the next round. If the teams have scored the same amount of goals, the team with more goals as visiting team advances. If it is a tie even after this, the teams will play a sudden-death overtime and shoot penalties. The final will be only one game, played in a neutral location. Overtime and penalties will follow, if the game ends in a tie.

In 300 the winner of the league advances to the second round directly.

Semifinals, Story

In the Eastern Delgamian Football Cup the semifinals have been played. Tiediz Atoms is the another team in the final. They won both games against the favourites, Filorro Phantoms, in the semifinals. Maybe Phantoms hadn't yet found a way to replace Pensodeque, Cinziento and Testodasertan, who all left to Westrian teams before the semifinal.

After the 3-1 win in Filorro, the Atoms were comfortable coming to home for the second game. The home team dominated the game. The Phantoms lost all hopes of advancing to the final when Atoms scored two quick goals in the beginning. The game ended with 4-1 score, and even there was probably one goal too much for the Phantoms. It's sad to see Phantoms perform this badly after they were the best team last year. Now they have one month to get ready before the league starts again in June. Atoms still have the Cup final to play.

Lexho Eternity and Ihenious Icarus decided the other finalist. Eternity won the first game in Ihenious with a score of 3-0 and were clearly the favourites in the second game in Redveho. The game was rather boring. Eternity scored two goals in the first half. That was enough for the Icarus and they stopped playing. Eternity wasn't too eager to play beautiful football either in the second half. So the game didn't offer anything for the fans. Eternity scored three goals more and advances to the final with a total score of 8-0. Icarus' win against the Kurusus Twilight Warriors in the first round was a real surprise, but in the semifinals they played again the bad football they played last year.

In juniors Pagania Sting Rays play against Ihenious Icarus in the final. Sting Rays being the worst team in the league last year was a real surprise to even get past first round. Icarus played against the Filorro Phantoms in the semifinals. It was unfortunate that Icarus and Phantoms, the best teams in the league last year had to play against each other already in the semifinals. Icarus is the favourite in the final.

The Cup was a real disappointment for the Filorro Phantoms, who expected at least to be in the final with both teams, maybe even win both titles. The finals will be played in Filorro on May 12 (juniors) and 13 (adults).

Lexho Eternity won the first Eastern Delgamian Football Cup with an easy 5-0 win against the Tiediz Atoms. In Juniors Ihenious Icarus got quite an easy victory also. Pagania Sting Rays didn't got any scoring changes in the game.
